Help others in need

Since I can remember I have always been the one to try and help others in
need. I have volunteered at many places such as Broad Mead Assistant Living,
Milford Senior Center, Special Friends and many others. Broad Mead Assistant
Living, in Glencoe Maryland, is one of my fondest memories of volunteering.
I made many connections with the elderly whose families hardly ever came to
visit. Watching them smile and laugh about old times they experienced let me
know I had done my part that day.
I want to become a nurse so I can help others in need. Knowing that I have
changed at least one person’s life will let me know, I have done my best
and I have accomplished at least one of my goals. I am well driven and never
let others put me down. My life has been anything but easy and as always, I
will put others needs before mine in a heartbeat. When I attend college in
the fall and eventually become a nurse, I know I will give it my all and
succeed. Some of the assets I already posses are communication skills,
analyzing, reasoning and maintaining emotional stability. My drive to
succeed and to become a nurse will take me to farther places and maybe lead
me to becoming a Doctor one day.
